Improving farm energy efficiency and boosting the transition to renewable energy in the South Baltic area.
Overview: The project improves energy efficiency on farms across the South Baltic area to enhance energy security and accelerate the shift to renewable resources at farm level.
Key Objectives: The initiative maps current energy use and renewable potential on farms, develops and tests practical energy solutions, and builds capacity to ensure lasting adoption and wider uptake.
Main Activities: Activities include mapping and needs assessment of farm energy use and renewable resources, developing and testing energy-efficiency and renewable solutions with feasibility studies, and implementing learning, capacity-building, sustainability and dissemination actions to support long-term use.
Impact: The project increases farm-level energy efficiency and resilience, reduces reliance on fossil fuels, supports the transition to renewables, and strengthens local energy security and sustainability across the South Baltic area.
