Overview: The project BLUE CRESCENT – Promoting the blue economy by establishing a protected area across the maritime border of Poland, Sweden and Lithuania promotes the blue economy and sustainable use of water resources in the South Baltic area by facilitating creation of a cross‑border maritime protected area.

Key objectives: Support establishment of a transboundary maritime protected area, strengthen governance and management of marine resources, raise public awareness, and advance scientific knowledge for sustainable use of coastal and marine ecosystems.
