The overall project objective is to enhance the sustainability and resilience of South Baltic urban tourism by advancing conscious tourism and implementing circular solutions at cultural and tourism sites.
The project’s activities start with establishing a foundation for a conscious and sustainable tourism approach through analysing how tourists behave and interact with urban and cultural attractions. Building on the findings from this initial phase, the project operationalises the conscious tourism approach by co-designing, implementing, and testing solutions that enhance sustainability and improve visitor experiences across South Baltic sites. In the next stage, the project translates these findings into practical tools that advance circular and sustainable tourism across the South Baltic Area. Finally, the project develops a cohesive regional brand and conducts targeted international outreach to disseminate results and share outcomes and lessons learned, supporting replication and new cooperation beyond the Programme area.
