Enabling schools and young people to develop sustainability education and collaborate on local climate projects across the South Baltic area.
Overview: The project fosters cooperation, knowledge sharing and innovation to support innovative teaching methods and extracurricular activities, empowering young people to inspire each other and build regional networks that tackle global climate challenges at local and regional levels in the South Baltic area.
Key objectives: Strengthen sustainability education, enhance teacher capacity, empower students for cross‑border cooperation, and promote small‑scale local projects addressing climate challenges.
Main activities: Develop guidelines for institutional self‑assessment on sustainability, conduct self‑assessments and create action plans; run online and on‑site teacher workshops and produce a guide and an open online course; organise student workshops, cross‑border camps and hackathons to develop small‑scale sustainability projects; and map perspectives for Education for Sustainable Development (ESD).
Impact: Improved institutional practices on sustainability, stronger teacher competences, increased student civic and collaborative skills, and strengthened regional networks for addressing climate challenges across the South Baltic area.
