Overview: The project safeguards the positive image and sustainable development of coastal tourism in the South Baltic area by mitigating current disruptions and strengthening destination preparedness for geopolitical, climate and ecological hazards.
Key objectives: Improve destination resilience, manage visitor flows toward less‑visited areas, develop resilient harbour and marina offerings, and enhance coordinated decision‑making among coastal stakeholders.
Main activities: Establish a Knowledge Hub on Coastal Destination Resilience with seminars and a helpdesk; run a joint customer communication and marketing campaign to redirect boater flows; develop replicable resilient coastal tourism models based on pilot marinas and harbour adaptation concepts; and create a cross‑innovation platform to connect and sustain initiatives.
Impact: Better prepared and more resilient coastal destinations, reduced pressure on overcrowded sites, tested harbour adaptation models for replication, improved stakeholder coordination and strengthened sustainable tourism development across the South Baltic area.
