The project involves seven partners from Denmark (2), Sweden (1), Poland (3) and Lithuania (1). The
partnership is composed of universities, SMEs, public company and a foundation. The partners are
supported by three associated partners which are public administrations and a university from Denmark,
Lithuania and Sweden. The project is led by Clean – The Danish Water & Environmental Cluster (DK).
The overall project objective is to develop holistic, cost-effective methods for treating urban stormwater
discharge through a cross-border approach that is essential to improve the South Baltic water quality.
The project’s activities are divided into four content-related work packages besides management. The first
focuses on collecting and analysing stormwater and combined sewer discharge data, investigating current
management legislation in the South Baltic regions on a country level. The second aims to design treatment
prototypes and map business opportunities. The third focuses on setting up solutions for the treatment and
pilot actions demonstrations. The last one aims to establish cross-border working groups and develop
common standards in stormwater management.
