The project involves six partners from Poland (2), Denmark (1), Germany (1), Lithuania (1) and Sweden (1). The partnership is composed of a port, research institute, association of ports and NGOs. The partners are supported by three associated partners which are association of ports and SMEs from Denmark, Germany and Poland. The project is led by Port of Elbląg (PL).The overall project objective is to implement innovative technical solutions and enhance eco-efficient operations in small ports, reducing dry bulk cargo leakage, improving water quality, and fostering sustainable, environmentally friendly practices for operational efficiency.The project’s activities are divided into three content-related work packages. The first one is dedicated to overview environmental hazard management practices in port operations, mainly through desk research and partner meetings. The second one focuses on development of technical solutions for environmental hazard and cargo leakage reduction. The solution will be tested in the framework of pilot actions in selected ports. The last work package is dedicated to development of a regional strategy and recommendations for the reduction of cargo leakage and environmental protection.The main target groups are small and medium-sized enterprises involved in port operations, local and regional ports and stakeholders in cargo handling.
