The project involves eight partners from Poland (2), Sweden (3), Germany (1), Lithuania (1) and Denmark (1). The partnership is composed of research institute, business cluster, municipal companies, university and SME. The partners are supported by six associated partners which are association of communes, association of municipalities, research institutes, university, energy agency and district heating company from Poland (2), Sweden (3), and Lithuania (1). The project is led by the Institute of Fluid-Flow Machinery, Polish Academy of Sciences (PL).
The overall project objective is to modernize district heating systems in the South Baltic region by developing digital services for grid optimization, sector coupling and customer integration, enhancing energy efficiency, integrating renewables and reducing carbon emissions.
The project’s activities start with creation of the digital services for district heating. The next strand of actions is dedicated to the dissemination of knowledge and other soft activities to involve stakeholders and policy makers. In the last work package partners will focus on regional outreach and long-term impact of project’s products.
