The Annual Event will take place on 23 September 2026 in Palanga, Lithuania
The venue: Mercure Palanga Vanagupe Resort
Join us for the Annual Event 2026!
The main element of the day will be the TakeUP Capitalisation workshop – a practical, interactive session designed to help you translate project results into lasting impact.
IMPORTANT! Please, read before registering!
This is a rare chance to learn capitalisation in practice, strengthen your network and accelerate your project’s uptake. We strongly encourage your participation, as the Joint Secretariat does not plan to organise another event of this size and impact in the near future.
Registration is open until 3 July 2026, 23:59 CET, with priority for project partners. Registered participation in the Annual Event will be subject to approval by the Joint Secretariat and emails confirming the participation will be sent after 3 July 2026. Please, do not make any travel arrangements before receiving the approvals.
Why to attend?
- Practical, step‑by‑step tools: The workshop uses the proven “7 essentials” toolbox to help you integrate capitalisation thinking into your project and produce a clear road map for uptake.
- Hands‑on learning: The day is highly interactive, with exercises and a dedicated workbook so you leave with concrete next steps tailored to your project.
- Networking: Projects will be clustered by topic so you can exchange experience and connect with colleagues working on similar issues.
- Proven concept and pilot success: The TakeUP concept was developed by the Interreg North Sea Region Programme. In February 2026, a pilot event involving five Interreg South Baltic Programme projects, the Joint Secretariat and other Interreg programmes proved very successful – prompting us to bring the workshop to our Annual Event. See summary here
- Innovative approach: The workshop uses hands‑on coaching, small peer groups and a simple toolbox to turn ideas into a clear, practical capitalisation plan. It is more than just presentations – it focuses on real follow‑up actions you can use in different regions and sectors.
Three reasons this is a unique opportunity:
- Obligation – capitalisation is a compulsory part of project implementation, so this workshop offers practical support to meet those requirements.
- Timing – the Programme and many projects are at a stage where capitalisation can maximise long‑term impact.
- Presence – the Annual Event is a rare opportunity to gather many project partners in person in one place and boost networking.
Who should attend?
Please consider nominating two representatives from your project: the project manager and the communication manager.
Watch testimonials from the pilot TakeUP workshop participants – our project partners and discover how collaboration turned ideas into impact.
Join Projects Karaoke!
A fun, fast-paced session for Interreg South Baltic projects designed to make your project story clear, concise, and easy for anyone to present. Participants will practice preparing short, accessible presentations that anyone can deliver. It is a great chance to learn about other projects, get fresh project insights, and strengthen your network. The Projects Karaoke is a great way to boost visibility and collaboration across the Programme, especially in the era of capitalisation and upcoming calls for proposals.
How it works?
- Sign up your project during the registration
- Before the event, project partners prepare their project presentation in an engaging, short and simple format that anyone can deliver and send it to the JS
- During the evening reception projects presentations are entered into a lottery, draw a different project at random and present it on the spot
Why to join?
- Improve how your project is explained to non-experts
- Discover new partners, ideas and inspiration across the Programme community
- Have fun and win attractive prizes!
On this occasion we invite the ISBP community to unite in celebration of Interreg Cooperation Day to showcase how cooperation makes Europe stronger.
