The introduction of new technologies into seaports increases their operational capabilities, which allows not only to increase transhipments at the expense of land transport but also enables them to act as satellite ports in relation to ports of international importance. Furthermore, it will help break the predominant car-based mobility pattern down for more sustainable transport in the spirit of blue and green growth.
The project relates directly to the selected objective by formulating transport solutions to foster relations between local ports, SMEs, and other South Baltic supply chain entities.
Seed money helps analyze the needs of local SB seaports in terms of introducing new technologies to digitize their activities, multimodal chains, or transport planning.
