Digitalisation did not really arrive in the leisure boating industry of the South Baltic area yet. Handwritten paper receipts are still the standard in many small harbours. Wide parts of the region are a “blank spot” regarding the use of IT solutions by leisure boat ports.

The main project “DigiMar” seeks to overcome these barriers that hamper a more comprehensive digitalisation of leisure boating supply chains in the SBA. This shall be achieved – in partnership with SMEs – by developing & deploying adapted commercial solutions that comply with the specific profile of SBA harbours. The Seed Money project creates two prerequisites for this ambitious approach:

  • A consortium that effectively reaches out to SBA harbour operators;
  • The identification of SMEs that could deliver the required, adapted IT solutions for the South Baltic Area.
