In combination with long distances to medical centers and limited public transportation, there is a strong need to develop new ways of making cancer diagnostics and treatments available to patients in their own homes through the use of new technologies. This can save a large part of the transportation to the hospital for patients and their relatives, which is especially important in rural areas, and reduce the risk of infections for these vulnerable patients (learning from the Covid19 pandemic), and contribute to a high-quality and cost-efficient cancer treatment to a growing number of patients in future health care.
The aim of this project is to improve cross-border cooperation capacity and with the future program measure of “Digitizing” the program region in order to improve e-Health solutions for the benefit of the broad population in the area.
