Project ELMAR – ‘Supporting South Baltic SMEs to enter the international supply chains & sales markets for boats & ships with electric propulsions’ will carry on three days of trainings in June 2021.
During the meeting onn 22nd June, selected issues related to the construction of modern, hybrid propulsion systems and other elements that reduce the negative impact of vessels on the natural environment will be discussed.
- Impact on the environment of currently used combustion engines powered by LNG, CNG, LPG and Diesel fuel and its variants with the addition of bio-components
- Review of methods used for exhaust gas purification from internal combustion engines for vessels
- Classification of vessels from electric point of view. Requirements for the safe use of hydrogen fuel cells
- Theoretical model calculating the resistance to motion and the demand for power of the watercraft's propulsion system.
The trainings will be conducted by experts from the Łukasiewicz Research Network - Electrotechnical Institute and experts from external companies invited to give lectures. The third training will be given in English language.
