By taking part in this initiative, organisations engaged in territorial cooperation will have the opportunity to learn about cross-border solutions under the b-solutions initiative. It is a unique chance to contact partners facing similar cross-border challenges and to obtain practical solutions that can be transferred to your own territory.
As part of this call, 100 people will be selected to participate in 10 partner visits. Each visit will last two to three days and will take place between November 2026 and January 2027. Each visit will be organised around an existing b-solutions case that will demonstrate how public authorities and other stakeholders addressed administrative or legal barriers hindering cross-border cooperation.
The call is open to organisations involved in Interreg cross-border cooperation programmes on the EU’s internal borders, as well as to organisations from the Western Balkans and Turkey. Eligible entities include, among others:
- managing authorities and joint secretariats;
- national, regional and local administrations;
- universities and research centres;
- European Groupings of Territorial Cooperation (EGTCs) and euroregions;
- development agencies and chambers of commerce;
- other organisations active in cross-border cooperation.
Fifty applicants may receive financial support of up to EUR 750 (lump sum) to cover travel and accommodation costs.
Applications must be submitted by 7 September 2026, 17:00 CET. Selected participants will be notified by the end of September 2026. More information is available at visitors.borderexchange.fceer.org
The call is implemented on behalf of the European Commission (DG REGIO) by Fundación CEER in connection with the b-solutions initiative. This initiative is carried out jointly with the Association of European Border Regions (AEBR).
