Central Europe is a region of strong functional ties across sectors, yet fragmented by 15 national borders and many internal ones. These borders often limit cooperation and slow development.
Local Interreg cross-border programmes already address these challenges, while transnational projects offer broader solutions. Now, the Interreg Central Europe Programme invites organisations to submit proposals for strategic capitalisation projects that:
“Reduce the effects of borders on flows and functional linkages among central European regions, for a more competitive and resilient Central Europe.”
With €23 million ERDF funding, projects across all priorities can apply. Selected initiatives will be recognised as Operations of Strategic Importance, boosting both impact and visibility.
