A funding allocation of over 3.7 million euros was granted through the Interreg South Baltic Programme for cross-border projects. Members of the media attended the signing ceremony of the funding agreements, which took place on 24th March, 2025 at the Marshal’s Office of the Pomeranian Voivodeship in Gdańsk.
The event was attended by two Deputy Ministers of Funds and Regional Policy, Konrad Wojnarowski and Jacek Karnowski, along with Members of the Board of the Pomorskie Voivodeship, representatives of the Programme Managing Authority – the Ministry of Development Funds and Regional Policy, as well as the Joint Secretariat of the Programme. During the ceremony, two projects were presented, highlighting their roles in advancing regional development and sustainability:
- DeCoInter – Decarbonization of Maritime Sector and its Impact on Green Energy Transition: A transformation towards green energy solutions within the maritime industry will be facilitated by this project.
- Horse Tourism for Everyone – Fostering Inclusive & Citizen-Oriented Horse Tourism Development in the South Baltic Area: The project’s focus is on developing inclusive, citizen-oriented equestrian tourism across the South Baltic region.
The total funding of over 3.7 million euros was provided from EU funds, while the overall value of the projects exceeded 4.6 million euros. This support highlighted a commitment to sustainable and inclusive development within the South Baltic area.
