Reducing dry‑bulk cargo leakage and improving environmental performance in small ports across the South Baltic area.

Overview: The project strengthens eco‑efficient operations in small ports across the South Baltic area by implementing technical solutions to reduce dry‑bulk cargo leakage and improve water quality.

Key Objectives: The project aims to minimise cargo spillage and related pollution, enhance environmental hazard management in port operations, and promote sustainable practices that increase operational efficiency.

Main Activities: Activities include mapping current environmental hazard management practices, developing technical solutions for cargo leakage reduction, testing these solutions through pilot actions in selected ports, and preparing a regional strategy with recommendations for wider adoption.

Impact: The project reduces pollution risks from dry‑bulk cargo handling, improves water quality, and raises ports’ capacity to operate in an environmentally responsible and efficient manner across the South Baltic area.
