Helping the South Baltic area switch to electric vehicles by creating digital tools to plan charging stations and manage energy better.


Overview: The SBEES project focuses on facilitating the transition to electric vehicles across the South Baltic area by developing a suite of digital services. These services help plan and implement the necessary charging infrastructure to support green electric transportation.

Key Objectives: SBEES aims to create four key digital tools: mapping charging needs, assessing electricity storage requirements, monitoring public charger usage, and enabling Vehicle-to-Grid (V2G) functionality, thus supporting the widespread adoption of electric vehicles.

Main Activities: The project begins with market analysis and regulatory research to lay the groundwork for developing and implementing eMobility services. These services will be piloted, tested, and tailored to fit each participating country’s specific conditions.

Impact: The SBEES project empowers local authorities, energy providers, and other stakeholders to make informed, data-driven decisions, ultimately facilitating a comprehensive transition to electric vehicles. By enhancing planning capabilities and infrastructure development, SBEES sets the stage for a large-scale shift to electrification in the region.
