The year 2021 was an intense time for the Joint Secretariat staff. Despite the continuous pandemic situation and still majority of meetings and events organised online, the processes continued and developed successfully.
The Joint Secretariat’s staff actively participated in the preparation of the new programming perspective 2021-2027, which resulted in the adoption of the Programme’s draft by the Joint Programming Committee (JPC) and its submission to the decision of the Programme’s Member States.
The situation within the projects area was progressing dynamically. We certified € 15,42 mln, which means that projects were financed in the amount of € 12,56 mln. As many as 21 projects have been completed with a total value of € 31,33 mln and 35 projects were implemented, including nine projects that expanded their scope as a result of the 1st Mini call. We conducted one Seed money call, in which 69 new projects were submitted for a total amount of € 2.7 mln. The total value of projects under implementation in 2021 was € 55.87 mln.
In 2021, we organised two webinars dedicated to Seed money call, two online networking meetings and, traditionally, an annual event. The Programme was actively represented at nine conferences, including Interreg events, Euroregion seminar, European Maritime Day, European Cooperation Day, the Baltic Sea States Subregional Co-operation (BSSSC) and the EU Strategy for the Baltic Sea Region (EUSBSR) forums, and others.
Having the new programming perspective ahead of us, we are getting ready to support our beneficiaries, utilise their potential and look forward to new cooperation opportunities.
