Today is the European Maritime Day! This year a two-day event has been organized in the coastal city of Ravenna, Italy, in which were discussed joint initiatives and projects on maritime affairs and a sustainable blue economy. An incredible networking platform in which take part a large number of excellent speakers, thematic sessions, stakeholder workshops and project pitch sessions are organised by stakeholders and the European Commission as well as hundreds of B2B meeting opportunities.
In the workshop ‘Cooperation pathways from the sea to be fit for 55’, organized by Interact Knowledge of the Seas Network, Ocean Energy Europe, the University of Siena and The Maritime Cluster of West Sweden, has been discussed the role of cooperation between regional actors as the key to setting the path for the deployment of new solutions, technologies, innovations to achieve decarbonisation and climate neutrality in Europe. In this workshop, the projects INCONE60 and Liquid Energy supported by Interreg South Baltic were presented.
