Today, on 30 May, starts the EU Green Week 2022, an annual opportunity to debate European environmental policy with policymakers, leading environmentalists, and stakeholders from Europe and beyond. This year’s edition cannot fail to focus on the European Green Deal – the current EU’s sustainable and transformative growth strategy for a resource-efficient and climate-neutral Europe by 2050.
On this occasion, the Green Week hybrid conference opens with a high-level debate on how times of crisis like the current one can impact EU environmental policy. On the next day, the discussion will focus on three key aspects of energy transformation – circular economy, zero pollution, and biodiversity.
As Interreg South Baltic, we supported 30 projects related to green technologies – of which 15 are seed money projects – aimed at preserving regional biodiversity and reducing carbon emissions towards the goal of climate neutrality. Here more info about our green technologies projects.
