Seed Money Projects 3rd Call Insight - Catalyst

Today is Children's Day! In the European Year of Youth, this celebration is even more relevant, reminding us of the role of younger generations in shaping the future of our society. 

Getting closer to the end of 2014-2020, we decided to present regularly each Wednesday some of the successful seed money projects we supported during the last 3rd call! This weekly column is called South Baltic SMP3! 

On this occasion, we are glad to present the CATALYST project! Its aim is to improve the cooperation capacity of local actors from the South Baltic Area by creating a network of entities from the area of culture, education, innovation, and tourism working for an engagement and involvement of young people in social, cultural, and business life. 


Who takes part in the project? 

The project is led by the Center of European Meetings Światowid in Elblag in partnership with Media Dizajn, Hässleholm Municipality - EU office Skåne Northeast, Association of Polish Communes Euroregion Baltic, Hochschule Wismar University - Faculty of Applied Sciences: Technology, Business and Design.

CATALYST combines different aspects of youth involvement and capitalizes on results and engages experts involved in project concepts dedicated to: 


What impact does the project generate?

  1. Bringing balance between Digital and Physical offers reception and the possibility of engagement in cultural, art and society events in self-governments among youth;
  2. Networking of multi-sectoral actors - by developing creative methods and approaches based on innovation;
  3. Building a more attractive and engaging cultural and social offer for different age groups and its promotion in the area of the Baltic Sea Region;
  4. Raising competencies and transferring know-how among specialists in the field.
