Information for beneficiaries on measures to secure the project implementation with regards to the coronavirus-situation
-
Dear Beneficiaries,
With regards to the epidemic risk caused by the Coronavirus/ COVID-19 as well as its negative influence on the implementation of projects, the Managing Authority is informing that it will take exceptional and unforeseen circumstances into consideration when evaluating the project implementation in the frame of all European Territorial Cooperation programmes.
All cases will be examined individually in order to make sure that each beneficiary’s required capacities are provided for. Depending on the kind of project and problem, we will look for the optimal solution in each given case together with you.
The Managing Authority is working on mechanisms together with partners abroad, which allow you to efficiently realize your planned project activities in a flexible way, which is beneficial for you. Concerning the above-mentioned, we are foreseeing a.o.:
- The approval for a prolongation of the project implementation time;
- A prolongation of the deadlines for the submission of payment claims;
- A flexible approach towards appointments for on-the-spot-controls;
- A more flexible approach towards the evaluation of eligibility of expenditures, on which the current epidemic risk is having an influence.
We are asking you kindly to regularly send information about possible problems in your project, related to the epidemic risk caused by the spreading of the coronavirus COVID-19, to your Project Officer in the Joint Secretariat.
At the same time we kindly ask you to undertake all necessary efforts to cancel meetings and to recover the expenditures in the frame of the project budget, in line with the conditions of the contracts in case of cancellation: travel, meetings, events, etc.
