Interreg, also known as the European Territorial Cooperation (ETC), is a key instrument under Cohesion Policy, financed by the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF). Since 1990 it supports cross-border, transnational and interregional cooperation programmes. The aim of Interreg programmes is to tackle common challenges together and find shared solutions in different fields, such as environment, health, transport, sustainable energy and many others.
In 2020 we want to celebrate the past and highlight what more we can do more together in the future. The whole Interreg community will focus on three main topics which will be articulated on different occasions.
1. We all have a neighbour
2. Youth
3. A greener EuropeThere are various options for Interreg projects to get involved and celebrate #30Interreg. Updates on the Interreg South Baltic Programme activities will be posted throughout the whole year.
The Interact Programme created a visual identity which is meant to be used along the year 2020 in all communication products to increase the visibility of territorial cooperation. All the files can be downloaded for free.
