First projects approved

As the result of the 1st call for proposals, 10 projects have been selected for funding by the Monitoring Committee (MC) of the Interreg South Baltic Programme 2014-2020. On 26-27 April 2016 in Kalmar, the delegates approved the following projects under conditions set by the Programme:

  • Establishing an international Cleantech Cooperation Structure in the South Baltic Region (Clean Tech International)
  • Cross-border development and transfer of innovative and sustainable aquaculture technologies in the South Baltic area (InnoAquaTech)
  • Coastal Angling Tourism  -  a development chance for the South Baltic Region (CATCH)
  • Best practise in tourism development, marketing and sustainable management of Attractive Hardwoods (Attractive Hardwoods)
  • Small coastal fishery and its heritage as significant potential for tourism destination development (Fish markets)
  • South Baltic OIL spill response through clean-up with biogenic oil binders (SBOIL)
  • Low Carbon Logistics (LCL)
  • Boosting Business Integration through joint VET Education (BBVET)
  • Capacity Building for Strategic Youth Policy and Transnational Cooperation (CaSYPoT)
  • South Baltic Initiatives to stop climate change (Let's do it)

The resources from the European Regional Development Fund to be allocated to these projects amount to  approximately 11,4 m EUR (15% of the Programme financial capacity). The projects approved cover all specific objectives of the Programme. An official communication to the applicants will follow shortly.
